Statement
Antonio R. Montesinos works from the analysis, modification and registration of the spaces that build our daily experience, trying to understand how this unfolds in a hybrid environment, mixing the real with the fictional, the urban with the natural and the physical with the digital.
He focuses his interest in the different ways of understanding the production of these spaces we live in, as well as in the confrontation between different models of political-social emergency (Bottom-Up) and hierarchical control structures (Top-Down). Their proposals aim to analyze the tension between the structures of spatial planning and regulation in the face of the capacity for real action we have on our environment -through everyday actions such as communication or displacement.
His work uses different means: drawing, photography, sculpture, found objects, installation or digital media.
